Dear Mrs Ireland, Mrs Bray, Mr Taylor, Mrs Moore, Mrs Heatherington,
Subject: Care of Mrs Evelyn Lovelock
We are following your unlawful procedures, as explained in ANJU4.RTF to Anju Bhatti, now replaced by Marjorie Ireland of Wokingham Social Services. i.e. we are currently paying Holyport Lodge direct for my mother's contribution, and invoicing the same ammount, with 1%/week interest, to Social Services. We will gratefully accept the "interest free loan" offered verbally by Anju Bhatti and Marjorie Ireland of Social Services, to start at the end of the first 3 months in Holyport Lodge. We understand that you will be charging costs unlawfully to the 23, Catalina Close property, for reclaim when it is sold. We have no immediate plans to sell the property, and will be relying on you to provide all payments needed to Holyport Lodge after January 2003. Meanwhile letters will continue to support our claim that these costs, currently being borne by Social Services, should be 100% funded by the NHS. We are happy for "the law to take its course" on this.
I have also established two Internet sites for everyone's convenience :
www.NHSCare.info - this is a pubic site and includes the recent press release explaining that some £10bn may be claimed by 300,000+ people who have sold their homes to pay for nursing care due to unlawful practice by their local authority.
www.NHScare.info/EvelynLovelock - this is for those with the "need to know" - which includes yourselves, your line managers, their line managers, and any individual that you or I consider appropriate. It contains letters from myself, including this one, and others including those sent to NHS Chief Executives and the NHS Ombudsman.
I suggest you check these two sites and your files to ensure you have access to all required information. Please give the URLs to anyone you feel has "the need to know".
Mrs Ireland: I've not received any correspondance from you
since our meeting in November, when you promised to provide written
details of the "loan after 3 months". However, I understand
from our conversation that it was at zero interest rate, and it
is already referred to in other letters and documents from Ann
Bray and Anju Bhatti.
I hope this letter and the web sites above will help you progress things at your end.
Mrs Bray: thankyou for your letter of 16 December, acknowledging
receipt of my invoice.
I spoke by 'phone to Stuart Taylor at your Shute End office, on 18 Dec, and explained the error in your Invoice dated 13 Dec. This has been settled direct with Holyport Lodge.
Mrs Moore: Many thanks for your letter dated 19 December 2002 with the 33 page document that has yet to be revised in the light of the 1999 Coughlan judgement.
Mrs Heatherington: Many thanks for your letter of 20 December 2002.
I am pleased to report that my mother has now been in Holyport Lodge nursing home five weeks, and that everything is as we had hoped.
Nothing in this letter modifies or reduces in any way my claim for 'free continuing care' under the Coughlan Case for my mother.
(Son of Evelyn Lovelock)
